Questions:
What is Jotme?
Jotme is a program that allows everyone in your organisation wherever they are to inform each other, whether it be by leaving messages, arranging appointments, chatting via instant messaging or leaving records on a central log board.
So it's a bit like Outlook then?
It's nothing like Outlook, although no one would argue that email is an essential tool, Jotme works alongside email to address the problems that email doesn't solve. Essentially email is a digital letter whilst Jotme is a collaborative calendar and company-wide message board which can be searched for every entry even if a message is deleted no matter how far back.
What can Jotme do for my business?
Let's say for example you wish to leave a message for two people on your team but you would like the whole office to have access to the message or a colleague is away unexpectedly and you would like to pick up where they left off. Jotme allows you to do these tasks with the click of a button. If perhaps you wish to compare your calendar with others in order to arrange a meeting or would simply like to post news on the company log board for others to see. All these tasks and many more can be carried out with ease with Jotme Primo.
How does the license work?
In order for your office to run Jotme, you will need one central Jotme program (the Jotme server) and the smaller Jotme programs on each computer that talk to the server (the Jotme client). Both the server and the client can be downloaded for free from www.jotme.co.uk. In order for the server and client to work together a license will need to be purchased. To illustrate; if there are ten computers in your organisation that have the Jotme client and they are connected to the Jotme server, and you have purchased five licenses, then any one of those five computers can run Jotme, but not more than five of them at one time.
How much does a license cost?
Jotme is amazingly good value. A one-off payment per license (see table below for full pricing information) will tangibly improve communication in your office. In fact companies that have started using Jotme have commented that like email, they don't know how they ever did without it.
